This blog is quickly turning into my adventures in oatmeal, I promise I will cook something else soon! I don’t even like mangos that much, so I don’t know why I did this, except that there are a lot of mangos here right now and I needed breakfast!
1 cup water
Dash of salt
1/2 cup oats
1 tsp brown sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 mango, cut up
So as per usual I cooked the oatmeal. Boil water and salt add oats, cook five minutes while stirring and then add the mango, brown sugar and cinnamon cover and let sit for a minute or two. Then eat!
It was actually pretty good. I find that mangos taste a little pine-y. I might be crazy, but I rinsed them because I though I could get the pine out, does not work that way. I like this combination, maybe I’ll have it again before the mango runs out. I should make it for Jack, he loves mangos!
