Personally, I sometimes set high standards for myself which just get in the way of me actually doing what I wanted to accomplish in the first place. Case in point, I set out to create a blog made up of my passions, created a rule that it should be all lists and once it was all set up, I never wrote in it.
I think it’s a good idea. I don’t discredit that lists are more readable and fun to write. But it’s not working for me, so it’s time I changed the rules.
I am accepting the reality that if I want to share creativity, happiness and kindness, that I don’t need to do it in a list format. I can from time-to-time. The real purpose of this blog is to share the things I’m passionate about, and any format will do. Really, the only thing I need to do is write.
WOOHOO! I feel so relieved to have made this change!
So, dear readers, please accept this change. Look at what I’ve done and take my lead to re-evaluate the expectations you’ve set for your self that might be unrealistic, over the top or unnecessary. And if you find something that fits the bill, tell me about it in the comments below. 🙂
