Why I Support the International Rescue Committee

Back in November, I made my first donation to the International Rescue Committee. I was moved by the images of the Syrian people I see floating to shore in Europe. The journey is tough and the loss these families are facing is so grave and so far from over. Women and girls are the most vulnerable, facing sexual violence. These women and girls are survivors, and they will need lots of support for years to come.

I  donate to the International Rescue Committee (IRC) because they are always on the front lines, helping people who cannot help themselves. If there’s a crisis, IRC is there:  from fighting ebola in Sierra Leone to protecting those escaping conflict in Myanmar.

I support the IRC and all of the important work they do around the world. Please join me in supporting IRC and being a beacon of hope for millions of refugees on their journey from harm to home. You can make a donation here.
